This is now, beloved, the second letter I am writing to you in which I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder, (NASB ©1995)

1 Peter 2:11 Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul.

2 Peter 1:13 I consider it right, as long as I am in this earthly dwelling, to stir you up by way of reminder,

2 Peter 3:8 But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.

2 Peter 3:14 Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, (NASB ©1995)


This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

1 He assures them of the certainty of Christ's coming to judgment, against those scorners who dispute against it;
8 warning the godly, for the long patience of God, to hasten their repentance.
10 He describes also the manner how the world shall be destroyed;
11 exhorting them, from the expectation thereof, to all holiness of life;
16 and again to think the patience of God to tend to their salvation, as Paul wrote to them in his epistles.
