Genesis 12:6 Abram passed through the land as far as the site of Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. Now the Canaanite was then in the land.

Shalem. The word Shalem, in the Samaritan Shalom, should probably be rendered 'in peace,' or 'in safety;' as it is translated by the Chaldee, Arabic, Coverdale, and Matthewes.
