Hebrews 7:3 Without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, he remains a priest perpetually. (NASB ©1995)

Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

Without father. That is, as the Syriac renders, 'Whose father and mother are not inscribed among the genealogies; and therefore it was not known who he was.'
