Jeremiah 34:1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army, with all the kingdoms of the earth that were under his dominion and all the peoples, were fighting against Jerusalem and against all its cities, saying, (NASB ©1995)

2 Kings 25:1 Now in the ninth year of his reign, on the tenth day of the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, camped against it and built a siege wall all around it.

8 The princes and the people having dismissed their bond-servants, contrary to the covenant of God, re-assume them.
12 Jeremiah, for their disobedience, gives them and Zedekiah into the hands of their enemies.

This chapter contains two discourses, one concerning the taking of the city, and Zedekiah's captivity and death; and the other containing an invective against the inhabitants of Jerusalem for retaining their Hebrew slaves; both of which were delivered in the tenth year of Zedekiah.
