Then the word of the LORD of hosts came, saying, (NASB ©1995)

Zechariah 7:14 "but I scattered them with a storm wind among all the nations whom they have not known. Thus the land is desolated behind them so that no one went back and forth, for they made the pleasant land desolate."

Zechariah 8:2 "Thus says the LORD of hosts, 'I am exceedingly jealous for Zion, yes, with great wrath I am jealous for her.' (NASB ©1995)


Again the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying,

1 The restoration of Jerusalem.
9 They are encouraged to build the temple by God's favour to them.
16 Good works are required of them.
18 Joy and enlargement are promised.
